Description

Description

The CASTLES project (Cultural Activities, Sports, Traditions, Learning, Exchange, and Sustainability) aims to foster intercultural understanding, European citizenship, and social cohesion among students aged 11-14 from Venaria Reale (Italy), Vizille (France), and Sinaia (Romania). By leveraging the rich cultural heritage of the participating cities, each known for its historical castle, the project will connect students through educational exchanges, collaborative storytelling, sports competitions, and community activities. The project will promote key European values of unity, diversity, and sustainability, aligned with the objectives of the CERV Town Twinning call and the principles of the New European Bauhaus Initiative. CASTLES will organize three main events in Venaria Reale, Sinaia, and Vizille, each featuring a blend of cultural visits, sports activities, and workshops designed to engage students, teachers, and community members. The collaborative storytelling initiative will allow students to co-create a narrative that travels between the schools, reflecting shared European themes and enhancing language skills. With a focus on inclusivity, gender equality, and active citizenship, the project will involve not only students but also their families, local associations, and policymakers, ensuring a broad community impact. By utilizing local communication channels, including municipal websites, social media, and public events, CASTLES will reach a diverse audience and highlight the significance of European solidarity and cooperation. Through these activities, CASTLES seeks to create lasting connections between the three municipalities, promote intercultural dialogue, and inspire a new generation of engaged European citizens. The project will continue to foster these ties through the E-Twinning platform and other sustainable initiatives, extending its impact beyond the project’s duration.
