Description | This project consists of construction of 2 wind farms in municipality of Jandaíra (RN), state of Rio Grande Do Norte, Brazil, with a total capacity of 99.2MW. The project companies are Central Eólica Catanduba I SA and Central Eólica Catanduba II SA, both owned by EDP Renováveis (EDPR). The produced electricity will be sold on the free market under a 16-year PPA. The total investment value is BRL235.6 million or $44.62 million for Catanduba I and the same amount for Catanduba II. The debt included a $53.33 million loan provided by Banco do Nordeste' Northeast Development Fund (FDNE). Financial close took place on December 29, 2022.
