Description | This project involves a study to determine the efficacy of a cathodic protection plan for the village of Morrisburg and the Morrisburg/Iroquois transmission main and to develop an implementation plan for the installation of cathodic protection. Also included in this project will be the implementation of the plan (up to the allocated budget) by installing various cathodic protection nodes and anode banks at the most critical or effective areas in the distribution system, with the ultimate outcome to significantly reduce corrosion of the existing ductile iron water mains and the associated water main breaks due to corrosion. |
