Description | Upgrade corrosion protection on metallic watermain to extend service life. The project will install anodes onto sub trunk 300mm and 400mm watermains for approximately 3.9 km as follows: 2.1km on Wonderland Road between Commisioners Road West and Southdale Road, and; 1.8km on Fanshawe Park Road West between Wonderland Road and Richmond Street. Anodes placed on the watermains every 5 to 8 meters will provide corrosion resistance to the pipe for their projected life expectancy of 15 to 25 years. At the end of their protective capacity the anodes can be replaced to further extend the lifespan of the watermains. |
