The proposed expansion will increase production capacity from 13.5 Mtpa to 18.5 Mtpa by 2018. With reserves of 385 Mt grading 48.6% Al2O3 and resources of over 5 billion tonnes, the Sangaredi Mine is one of the largest in the world and is considered one of the best due to its high alumina content and low silica. |
