The proposed programme will be in line with the Objectives set in the European Council’s Strategic Agenda 2024-29 and the political guidelines for the next EU Commission 2024-29. We will deliver it along two main objectives: A) Supporting the implementation of the sustainable policy framework; B) Dissemination and promotion of thought leadership on the EU policies. We will do this through: 1) Disclosure engagement and capacity-building for companies, cities and regions, emphasising both quantity and quality of disclosures. We will also build on the strength of the unique disclosure engagement mechanism that CDP provides to stakeholders. This mechanism facilitates an easy interaction with each other on targets and progress tracking through a digital system that integrates with their own in-house processes and data needs; 2) Enabling creation by our stakeholders, such as financial institutions and governments, of better insight from the disclosure data. This will allow filling gaps and improving B2B and B2G data and information flow. We focus on improving data usage to address key challenges such as: a) Access to capital (for the implementation of the action plans of every disclosing organisation), b) Lack of use-case (decision making data to allow better operational and strategic planning), and c) Compliance with voluntary and mandatory reporting and governance requirements. This provides critical continuity in the support to a net-zero and nature-positive economy and society. And by this CDP Europe remains a meaningful source of data and insight, evidencing the need for and the feasibility of achieving the EU’s climate neutrality and nature-related goals.
