The general objective of the Creative Europe Desk Latvia is to facilitate implementation of the Creative Europe programme in Latvia, to motivate and assist the potential applicants and to promote the possibilities within the programme, as well as the results achieved by the Latvian applicants. These activities go closely together with the main objective of the programme: to increase the competitiveness and the economic potential of the cultural and creative sectors, also the audio-visual sector. CED Latvia also refer on specific objective of the call: promoting policy cooperation and innovative actions supporting all strands of the programme as it works with target group from all three programme strands: Culture, Media and Cross sectoral strand. In the new programme period CED Latvia will work along with political priorities of the European Commission like the Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025 promoting gender equality in future projects and the European Green Deal reducing waste and using environmentally friendly solutions (like transport - using electric vehicles or informative materials from recycling material or virtual ones). The digital transition accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic also affects CED Latvia work and on its development in the future. Instead of physical workshops there will be more virtual webinars organized by CED Latvia.
