The CEIEC28 project aims to boost growth, innovation, and scale-up of regional SMEs in the Single Market and beyond. The EEN target region for this project is the Canary Islands (Spain) - one of the nine European Outermost Regions. The 'EEN Canarias Network' aims to provide SMEs with free-of-charge informative tools, instruments, and advisory services that will help generate an appropriate and improved environment where regional companies and entrepreneurs would be able to access to new opportunities in terms of business development in the Single Market and other international markets, innovation embracement, sustainable and digital transition, and enhanced resilience. Collective informative sessions, brokerage events, capacity building workshops, company missions, etc will be also promoted for the benefit of SMEs, in relation to sectors of relevance for the region - e.g., tourism, agri-food and maritime industries - in line with the region's Smart Specialisation Strategy. At the same time, the Network will cooperate with other EEN consortia and national & regional stakeholders to improve skills and knowledge to ensure the provision of the highest quality services to SME clients. Another key activity will be the promotion of the Network through communication and outreach activities, including showcasing outcomes and impacts through success stories as a powerful tool to encourage other SMEs to connect with the local EEN Node. The CEIEC28 consortium is composed of seven multi-disciplinary partners including the Canary Islands' regional government, an institute of technology, a business support organisation specialised in internationalisation & economic development, and four chambers of commerce which work on the ground and have access to a wide pool of SMEs from the whole archipelago. The consortium builds on the experience and lessons learnt of the EEN Canarias Network, particularly in the former CEIEC25 (started in January 2022).
