The project will provide new recreational opportunities to the residents of Sunshine Valley by building an outdoor Learning Playground and Splash Park. The splash park can also be used as a small rink in the winter. Sunshine Valley is a small community outside of Hope. A community survey was undertaken by the Sunshine Valley Community Recreation Society where the community expressed a need for more recreational facilities and spaces where people can take part in important human connections. This project incorporates the survey’s top choices, as identified by residents. The project works will include: - Splash park; - Learning Playground; - Seating areas and benches; - Landscaped site and garden; - Gazebo; - Information kiosks; and, - Other related works.
