Description | Companhia de Energia Elétrica do Estado do Tocantins' ("Celtins" or the "Company" or the "Borrower") market consists of the entire State of Tocantins. Since its privatization in September 1989, the energy sold and the number of customers served by Celtins has been steadily increasing, and operational performance is also significantly improving.Preliminary financial analysis of Celtins indicates that the latter is one of the lowest leveraged distribution companies in Brazil and with the bulk of its capital expenditures geared towards rural electrification. The transaction will be structured through a revenuebased account mechanism (i.e. off balance sheet) mirroring the previously Boardapproved (and financially closed) transactions of Centrais Elétricas Matogrossenses S.A. ("Cemat") and Centrais Elétricas do Pará S.A. ("Celpa"). |
