Cenos 1.4-GW Floating Wind Project

Cenos Offshore Windfarm, a joint venture between Scotland-based Flotation Energy and Vargronn, is developing a 1.4-GW floating wind project off the east coast of Scotland. The project has completed the acquisition of NorthConnect, which holds consents for offshore and onshore cable routes, facilitating a streamlined connection to the UK grid. The project will be located about 190 km from the Peterhead coast and will have up to 95 turbines, enabling a multi-point interconnector to support future offshore energy developments across the North Sea.
