Description
Description | The CoEUGREENTRADE project aims to establish a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence to advance research, education, and stakeholder engagement on the European Union’s Green Deal, trade policy, and industrial transformation. Hosted at Istinye University, this initiative will serve as a hub for academic inquiry and professional training, equipping students, businesses, and policymakers with the expertise to adapt to EU sustainability regulations and evolving trade frameworks. Through a multidisciplinary approach, CoEGREENTRADE will: - Develop six new academic modules (3 undergraduate, 3 graduate) focusing on EU integration, trade policies, and industrial sustainability. - Offer an executive training program to support businesses and policymakers in aligning with EU trade and climate policies. - Conduct cutting-edge research on the economic and regulatory implications of the Green Deal, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and EU-Turkey trade relations. - Facilitate policy dialogues through six high-level roundtables and six international online conferences, bridging the gap between academia, industry, and policymakers. - Promote international collaboration through engagement with EU universities, think tanks, and trade organizations. The project aligns with EU Sustainable Growth Strategies, the UN SDGs, and Turkey’s Green Deal Action Plan, reinforcing its transnational relevance. The outcomes will contribute to evidence-based policymaking, regulatory compliance, and knowledge dissemination, supporting Turkey’s economic and industrial adaptation to EU sustainability standards. |
