Description
Description | The Central Area, which includes the Downtown Core, will be experiencing major growth. This includes the new Peel Memorial Health Centre, a potential university and an influx of residential and business uses. We need to ensure that we have the infrastructure to support it. This work will undertake an assessment of the existing storm sewers within the area, focusing on three key priority components of the network (1. Downtown core, 2. Bramalea City Centre and 3. sewers greater than 45 years in age) and utilizing the latest technologies to locate, assess the condition and inventory the network using a geospatial database. This project will enhance the coordination efforts by the City of Brampton and the Region of Peel on infrastructure projects (e.g., watermain and sanitary repairs can be coordinated with stormsewer works). |
