Description | Iowa American Water is continuing the first part of the Central Avenue Resurfacing Project by replacing the water main in some spots from 14th Street to Pius Lane in Bettendorf. Work is moving eastward, starting on the third of five sections from 19th Street to 23rd Street, which will be closed to through traffic with a detour in place. The work on this section is expected to take four weeks, weather permitting, after which crews will move to the fourth and final section from 25th Street to Pius Lane. Additionally, the second part of the project involves replacing sanitary sewer lines in two areas, which will also cause closures and detours, with the start date to be announced later. |
