Central Coast Regional District - Great Bear Playgrounds Project

The Great Bear Playgrounds project will increase the access to recreation by replacing aging and unsafe two residential playgrounds in Hagensborg, British Columbia. An insurance safety audit stated the playgrounds do not meet current Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards and are currently unsafe for play. The Walker Island Park playground project works include: - Removal and disposal of old equipment; - Site preparation, including water servicing; - Play surfaces, playground equipment, and water features; - Park amenities, including bench and dry well; - Landscaping, vegetation, and finishes; and, - All related works. The Nusatsum Park playground project works include: - Removal and disposal of old equipment; - Site preparation; - Play surfaces and playground equipment; - Park amenities, including benches, shelter, fence, waste and recycling bins, entry sign, and solar lighting; - Landscaping, vegetation, and finishes; and, - All related works.
