Description	The Peruvian company Empresa de Generacion Electrica Rio Banos S.A.C, a subsidiary of Volcan Compania Minera S.A.A, announced the development of the Rucuy hydroelectric Plant located in the Chancay-Huaral river basin, Huaral, Peru (20 MW in capacity). In September 2014, the Ministerio de Energia y Minas (MEM) awarded to Volcan Compania Minera S.A.A the generation concession contract for this project. The investment was estimated at US$ 45 million. The construction works started in early 2015. As of March 2015, 50% of the construction works had been concluded, and the commercial operations were scheduled to commence in 2016.
