Description | The Peruvian Huaura Power Group S.A., a subsidiary of Corporacion Financiera de Inversiones (CFI), was awarded the contract to build and operate the 15-MW Yarucaya hydro power plant located at the Huaura River, Sayan District. The 20-year contract was signed in October 2014. The investment was estimated at US$ 32.7 million. Financial closure was achieved in February 2015, when the IAIC approved a US$ 12 million direct loan and US$ 11.6 syndicated loan to the Project. The remaining costs were equity financed. Construction Works commenced in May 2015. Operations were set to begin in 2016. |
