Central Kootenay - Woodbury Village Water System Treatment Upgrade Project

The project will increase the quality of treated drinking water by updating the Woodbury Village Water System. The system has been on a long term water quality advisory and as of June 6, 2017 the system was moved to a boil water notice status. The project will replace the ultraviolet (UV) and chloronation systems as well as other components to ensure the removal of the boil water notice. The project works include: - Upgrade of an existing treatment building; - Installation of a new UV system; - Installation of a chlorine disinfection system and media filtration; - Installation of control systems, upgrade booster station, reservoir control and communications; - Integration of SCADA into regional district system; - Upgrades to reservoir, relocation of water intake; and, - Related works.
