Description

Description

The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in Trade and Environment (2026–2028) will advance transnational and multidisciplinary research at the University of Adelaide, working closely with international partners to produce high-quality publications, policy insights, and stakeholder engagement initiatives that inform trade-environment policymaking. Through structured outreach and knowledge-sharing activities, the Centre will foster policy-relevant dialogue between the EU, Australia, and the Asia-Pacific, strengthening cooperation on sustainability-driven trade policies. Core Activities •Transnational and Multidisciplinary Research – Competitive research grants and collaborative studies addressing trade-environment challenges. •Working Paper & Policy Brief Series – Timely, evidence-based outputs to inform policymakers and industry stakeholders. •Roundtable Discussions & Research Webinars – Interactive forums linking research with practical policymaking. Outreach and Visibility Building on the existing Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in Trade and Environment (2023–2025) and past Jean Monnet initiatives, the Centre will expand its reach through: •Dedicated Website & Digital Outreach – Hosting research outputs, event updates, and multimedia content (e.g., podcasts, videos). •Public Seminars & Stakeholder Dialogues – Engaging policymakers, business leaders, and civil society in trade-environment discussions. By leveraging global partnerships, targeted research, and strategic dissemination, the Centre will ensure a lasting impact beyond the project’s duration, supporting the ongoing exchange of knowledge and best practices between academia, government, and industry.
