Description

Description

Centreville Bank Stadium is a newly built 10,500-seat soccer-specific stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, opened in May 2025. The project includes the stadium and an adjacent mixed-use development with hundreds of housing units and retail stores along the riverfront land. The stadium was built on remediated land previously contaminated by a decommissioned manufactured gas plant. The state approved a deal to pay $132 million over 30 years for the stadium. The mixed-use development portion is planned to include 250 apartment units, about 30,000 square feet of retail including approximately 10 restaurants and shops, and additional apartment buildings totaling more than 300 housing units connected by a pedestrian bridge. The ownership group is working on designs and permits to begin construction of the mixed-use development, with a possibility of seeking additional public funding.
