Description

Description

The Cerebral Palsy European Union Association brings together organisations of persons with cerebral palsy (CP), their family members and the professionals who work with them in 20 EU Member States and 7 other European countries. CP is the most common form of childhood-onset lifelong physical disability, affecting an estimated 800,000 EU citizens directly and approximately 16 million caregivers in the European Union. CP-ECA provides them with an opportunity to share experiences and to exchange best practices and a representative voice at European level. It is an active contributor to networks such as the European Disability Forum, the European Academy of Childhood-onset Disability and the World Health Organization Civil Society Commission. Its ultimate goal is to improve the health, wellbeing and life chances of persons with cerebral palsy.
