Description | This grant application constitutes the second phase of the CERECAR project financed under measure 1.02 “Valorisation and preservation of the environment” of the POCT 2007-2013. The CERECAR Phase 2 project aims to increase and disseminate knowledge of the behaviour and population of the various cetacean species in the southwestern Indian Ocean in an accessible manner. The project will be piloted in La Réunion, where the majority of the collection and data processing will be carried out. Boat trips will allow the collection of underwater images and videos (photo-identification and study of cetacean communication). In addition, several missions will take place in Mohéli in the Comoros and Madagascar. The project is planned for a period of 2 years. |
