Description

"""Active European citizens in EU through innovative education"" is a project in which the National College ”Mihai Eminescu” Oradea aims to strengthen its European dimension by creating new teaching and learning methodologies about the EU. This involves collaboration not only among the institution's teachers, but also with other local and European institutions. The project's aim is to promote education for European citizenship through alternative learning experiences, fostering active participation in democratic life, awareness of EU membership, understanding its values, and preparing the younger generation to address social and economic challenges with innovative solutions for constructive coexistence. Specific objectives of the projects are: a. Educating students for European citizenship and developing/practicing linguistic and technical skills through European projects until the end of the project b. Involving multiple teachers from different curriculum areas to carry out innovative activities related to the EU until the end of the project c. Engaging students in extracurricular activities for their participation in practical activities until the end of the project. Project activities encompass implementation, creating a blog, history, economics, social sciences, foreign language lessons, project-based learning, debates, workshops with local personalities, online meetings with European schools, study visits in the EU, and events during Erasmus Days, Foreign Language Days, and Europe Day. The project's results will be acknowledged through a course support for students studying European citizenship, articles in the project's blog, an interdisciplinary eTwinning project on EU-related themes, a digital material with EU terms in English, French, and German, and participation in an Erasmus project focusing on European citizenship.
