Description
Description | The project comprises the renovation and upgrading of the CGN Baiyangba Wind Farm in Baiyangba Town, Lichuan City, Hubei Province, China. It is a pilot project of China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) and aims to renovate and expand the capacity of the existing farm, reaching 99.5MW after the upgrades. The total investment of the project is $45.9m or 328.67 million yuan. The work started on August 16, 2024. The original CGN Hubei Lichuan Baiyangba Wind Farm Project started construction in 2013, and all 31 wind turbines were connected to the grid for power generation in 2014. The project has been generating electricity for 10 years. 11 original 1.6-MW turbines will be dismantled and 10 new 6.25-MW and 1 5-MW will be built on the original site. Two 6.25MW and one 5MW wind turbines will be added to the original 110kV Dongsheng substation of the Baiyangba Wind Farm. After the completion of the project, the grid-connected power generation will increase by 133.29 million kWh, the annual equivalent full load hours will be 1,983 hours. Based on the standard coal consumption of 320g/kWh, the country can save 42,105 tons of standard coal each year, reduce smoke emissions by about 652.4 tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by about 90.4 tons, nitrogen oxide emissions by about 484.1 tons, carbon monoxide emissions by about 11.9 tons, and carbon dioxide emissions by about 105,779.5 tons. https://wind.imarine.cn/news/98796.html |
