Chad - Project to Support The Control of HIV/Aids And Epidemic Diseases (HEALTH II)

This project is consistent with the strategy of increasing health coverage, and meet the urgent needs to control HIV/AIDS and epidemic diseases, which jeopardize economic and social development. It will contribute to the implementation of part of strategic guidelines of Chad’s national health policy. It also complies with the Bank’s vision concerning health and integral development (economic and social) of RMCs. The project, which will be implemented for three (3) years, has three (3) components: (i) Strengthening of the health system; (ii) Reinforcement of the control of HIV/AIDS and epidemic diseases; (iii) Project management. The increase in health coverage and reinforcement of the control of epidemic diseases will be concentrated in Batha, Biltine and Salamat prefectures. The reinforcement of the HIV/AIDS control concerns the entire country. The total project cost is estimated at UA 13.03 million.
