Description
Description | With an accelerated digitalisation and job transformation, COVID-19 has changed the jobs landscape, with the most vulnerable being also the most affected. While the immediate challenge is the need to support employment, this should be done considering the technological, economic and social transformation. The Porto Summit Declaration recognizes the role of social partners for a competitive social economy and sets ambitious targets: minimum 78% employment, and at least 60% of adults in learning. Now, these targets are very far away from the realities in RO&SK, especially regarding the adults training as the current rates are below 5%. The project aims at strengthening the capacity of social partners from RO&SK to deal with the changing skills demands in the context of ttransformation of work and to support a fair transition in the world of work through education. While the overall topic of lifelong learning (LLL) is complex, the project aims is to approach three perspectives as main building blocks for further development at the national level: develop transversal tech&digital experimental curricula for higher education vocational studies, with the view to provide a skill set that would enable adult workers to become more resilient, understand employees’ current challenges, with the view to providing human-centered solutions to improve participation rate, map the current employer-driven national LLL frameworks in a systemic manner to identify those points where change is required, learn from other European cross-sectoral organisations what role social partners could play in training provision. The project is in line with the European Social partner's current priorities and latest Framework Agreement, the New European Skills Agenda, the EU Digital Compass and will build knowledge for partners to be more involved in the EU policy-making & social dialogue. The European Digital Competence for Citizens will be also used as part of the methodology for curricula design. |
