Description
Description | The Champlain Valley School District in Vermont experienced a fire that destroyed four electric school buses and damaged a fifth. The buses were Thomas Built models leased from Highland Electric Fleets and funded by the EPA's Clean School Bus Program. Due to the fire and other issues with electric buses, the district replaced the electric buses with six used diesel buses from Lamoille Valley Transportation. The district had also faced issues with earlier electric buses from Lion Electric, which went bankrupt and voided warranties, leaving buses out of service. |
