Description | Singapore's Changi International Airport is expanding with a new Terminal 5, which spans 1,080 hectares and will nearly double the airport's current size. The terminal is expected to open in the mid-2030s and will increase the airport's passenger capacity from 90 million to 140 million annually. It will feature advanced measures such as a special ventilation system for pandemics, contactless entry points, and a layered roof design allowing division into mini-terminals. A separate train service will connect Terminal 5 to Terminal 2 via a 2.5-km underground link. |
