Pioneer of the Logistics Hub in the Gyeongnam RegionThe Changwon Logistics Park is located in the “Dudong Free Economic Zone” in Dudong, Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. Dudong district is being developed as part of the Busan/Jinhae Free Economic Zone Development Project, and Busan’s new port, the Noksan National Industrial Complex, and the Changwon National Industrial Complex are located nearby, providing great accessibility as a distribution/logistics facility.  Hyundai E&C is currently developing two blocks(I5-1BL, I6-1BL) within the “Dudong Free Economic Zone”. To meet the construction period of 13 months, Hyundai E&C designed the key structure based on PC(Precast Concrete)and PEB(Pre-Engineered metal Building systems) and for effective process management, implemented a process management program (MS-Project), determined to successfully completely the project within the short period.  Many distribution centers are being planned or built to meet the growing needs in logistics facilities due to the recent Covid-19 outbreak. The Changwon Logistics Park is located within the Busan region, which is the second largest market after the greater Seoul area. It will serve as a reference for many other logistics centers to be built in the future and an important milestone for Hyundai E&C which will go down in history as the greatest contributor to the development of a logistics hub in the Gyeongnam region. Pioneer in Promoting Clean AirWith the negative impact of construction sites on the environment on the rise, Hyundai E&C together with the city of Changwon signed an MOU on “IoT-based Fine Dust Measurement System Development Project”, installing and operating a system capable of conducting a real-time, on-site measurement of fine dusts. As a result, the level of on-site measured fine dust is being stored on the server 24/7, and environmental management is being done not as a mere formality but as a substantial way to reduce the actual level of fine dust. As a result, in June 2020, Hyundai E&C was recognized for its efforts, receiving an award certificate on environmental management from the Changwon mayor. It definitely spread the message that Hyundai E&C is not only striving to better the speed and quality of its projects, but also focusing on better managing our environment.
