Description
Description | Upgrades include the following: Replacing 3 pressure tanks in the water treatment plant as they are heavily rusted in the inside and causing bladders to rupture. Inspection and repair as needed the water treatment plant generator which has not been serviced in 5 years. Replacing the failed Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) battery backup for the Ultra Violet (UV) Lights so that the water is treated with UV at all times. Replacing and upgrade the Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) computer to a new Window 7 computer with new licenses as it is over 10 years old and currently failing. Replacing the 4 baseboard heaters within the water treatment plant, one of which is in the generator room. Replacing or repairing block heater for the backup generator as it is currently not working and could cause start-up issues and damage the generator. Replacing all 8 bulbs and 8 sleeves for the UV units to ensure proper disinfection and lower risk to community. Repairing 3 sodium hypochlorite pumps with 3 new rebuilt kits. Replacing the controller and the sensor for the UV lights as the current one is failing. As the water will be less at risk of contamination, this will reduce the burden on the Provincial health system. |
