Description | Project includes the design, purchase, and installation of approximately 12 in-depot charging points and related infrastructure to accommodate the 10 High Capacity (HC) BEBs at Langford Transit Centre (Victoria Regional Transit Commission). The proposed charging configuration meets the approved deployment strategy of 1:1 replacement (diesel to BEB), utilizing plug-in, in-depot and overnight charging to minimize operational impacts. Launch of zero-emission HC vehicles demonstrates both operational progress and agency commitment to the public, while supporting BC Transit’s overall strategy for providing reliable transit service and GHG reduction in alignment with CleanBC Plan mandates. BEBs are procured under concurrent ICIP application, BC-BCT-031. |
