Charlottetown Eastern Gateway - Storm Water Management

The project consists of replacing on an aged and undersized storm water system (100% new). Due to increased residential development in the neighbourhood and combined with heavy rainfall events, the area is prone to flooding. The project scope would include abandoning the existing storm water system and installing a new system that collects and manages the storm flows during peak rainfall events to eliminate the possibility of future flash flood events. The linear storm water asset is proposed to be approximately 800m, which will also include large culverts. The work will be more defined once the study is done (see project ICIP-PLAN-2021-003). The project aims to eliminate the possibility of future flash floods with the increased residential development and heavy rainfall.
