Description | The Colorado Chautauqua Association is undertaking a significant renovation project to winterize and upgrade the historic Chautauqua auditorium in Boulder, Colorado. The project aims to transform the 127-year-old open-air venue into a year-round theater, including fire suppression system upgrades, accessibility improvements, lighting and acoustic upgrades, structural reinforcements, indoor restrooms, concession areas, and a new basement-level multiuse space. The renovation is the most significant since the auditorium's construction in 1898 and is being accelerated to be ready for the Sundance festival in January 2027. |
