Description

Description

The Cheema Aquatic Club Frank Garner Boat House Retrofit Project is the expansion and retrofit of and existing clubhouse. The expansion is needed to accommodate Cheema’s growing membership in their programming at their paddling facility and community centre which currently is under sized. The need for more space has been further exacerbated by COVID-19 social distancing restrictions. The expansion, which consists of adding an additional floor to the existing facility, will be 100% accessible for all, including expanding the Active After School program space. It will provide the additional opportunity to implement new programs such as para-paddling. The purpose of the project is to improve access to and increase the quality of community and recreational infrastructure.
