Chemchemal Gas Field Development and Long-term Gas Sales Agreement

The Chemchemal gas field in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq is set to begin production in the second half of 2027. Dana Gas, Crescent Petroleum, and their partners in the Pearl Petroleum Consortium have agreed to supply up to 142 million standard cubic feet per day of gas to cement and steel producers for 10 years. The project includes new private-sector pipelines, including a 40-kilometre pipeline linking the Chemchemal field to the Bazian industrial area. The development follows a $160 million commitment to drill wells, install a well test facility, and build infrastructure for full-field development.
