The project is a partnership between Waga Energy, Chemung County, Casella Waste Systems, and Valley Energy. The facility purifies landfill gas to produce pure methane that is injected into the Valley Energy natural gas pipeline, displacing fossil natural gas and reducing harmful emissions. The project was two years in development and is expected to operate for at least 20 years. |
