Description
Description | This hospital, founded in 1950 in the center of the provincial capital Chengdu, is currently a grade 3B general hospital specializing in oncology. Despite a capacity of 502 beds, the hospital is constantly overcrowded. As part of this project, an attached new building for around 1,000 beds and 3,000 outpatient treatment places per day is to be built on a site in the south of the city and equipped with the appropriate equipment. The hospital is thus to become a general hospital in the highest national category (3A). The existing part is to focus on inpatient treatment of cancer. A FC subsidy loan of EUR 35 million is to finance almost 53% of the total project costs of around EUR 66.7 million. 70% of the FC subsidy loan is to be used to purchase hospital-specific equipment and 30% to finance the interior and exterior construction of the new hospital building. The plot of land in the Tianfu district has been acquired. Construction of the shell is to begin in October 2013 and will be financed from hospital funds. We expect good supply prospects for German companies for the specialized equipment (e.g. MRI, SPECT-CT), which will account for a good 50% of the use of the FZ funding loan. Due to the long term and the current interest rates, the project is ODA-eligible and will make a short-term contribution to increasing the German ODA quota. |
