The Project will enhance green, resilient, inclusive, developmentally-efficient and safe urban mobility in the CMA with demonstration in selected areas, through the following three components: --> Component 1: Integrated land-use and transport planning, and accelerated implementation with private sector participation. This component will leverage the unique opportunities offered by the simultaneous development of the TMP and CMP, to promote land use - transport integration through TOD principles at different scales across the CMA. The component will also support the efficient implementation of these plans with technical assistance to encourage private sector participation. --> Component 2: Integrated planning and delivery of infrastructure projects supported by digital solutions. This component will focus on infrastructure interventions to encourage modal shifts to public transport and promote walkability and access. The component will also support the development and deployment of digital tools to induce a step change in the efficiency of end-to-end planning, delivery, and management of infrastructure. --> Component 3: Safe and inclusive urban mobility systems. This component will make urban mobility infrastructure and systems in Chennai safe and inclusive for all users, particularly women.
