The project comprises the operation of the Chenzhou City Second and Fourth Wastewater Treatment Plants, in Hunan province, China. A concession has been awarded to Southern Water Services Ltd. after competitive bidding. The total investment is $93.84m or 680.62 million yuan. The franchise agreement of the original second and fourth sewage treatment plants in the city has been terminated ahead of schedule, and the ownership of the relevant fixed assets belongs to the Chenzhou Municipal Government. The implementation agency authorized by the Chenzhou Municipal Government will transfer the franchise rights of the existing second and fourth sewage treatment plants to the winning bidder Southern Water Services Ltd. for operation in the TOT mode.
