Description | In January 2012, construction of a solid waste incineration power plant commenced in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. The developer was a local private company Hunan Huiming Environmental Protection Technology Company Limited, a subsidiary of China Environment Holdings Limited. The total investment for the first phase was RMB 340 million (US$ 54.88 million). Hunan Huiming had a 100% stake in the project. By Oct 2013, RMB 137 million (US$ 22.11 million) had been expended on construction of the plant. The first phase had a solid waste processing capacity of 700 tons per day and the electricity generation capacity of 12MW. The concession term was 30 years. |
