Eligible Categories for Funding: (1)Projects at designated Gateways that relate to and advance the development of the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail (CAJO), Potomac Heritage national Scenic Trail (PHNST), Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail (STSP), and/or national recreational trails within the Chesapeake Bay watershed by offering new or expanded opportunities for public access to the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers to advance national trails in the Chesapeake watershed. (2)Projects at designated Gateways that relate to and advance the development of the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail (CAJO), Potomac Heritage national Scenic Trail (PHNST), Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail (STSP), and/or national recreational trails within the Chesapeake Bay watershed by promoting a broadly applicable stewardship ethic and actively foster citizen stewardship of the Chesapeake. (3)Projects at designated Gateways that relate to and otherwise advance the development of the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail (CAJO), Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail (PHNST), Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail (STSP), and/or the national recreational trails within the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
