Information Western Railway [WR] - II has come up with Chhota Udepur - Dhar New Line Project [157 km] with a ticket size of 1793.65 INR Crores. This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The 157 km new line connects Chhota Udepur [in Gujarat] to Dhar [in Madhya Pradesh]. This project will beneficial in connecting tribal areas of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh state. Estimate was sanctioned by Rly. Board on 06.09.2012. Material modification estimate for electrification of traction has been sanctioned for RS 177.42cr. vide railway board letter no 95/w-1/WL/WR/CD/pt dated 08.07.2021. Chhotaudepur Khandala [60 Km] section commissioned. Further Khandala Jobat 14.62 Km, CRS inspection done on 16.05.23. Thus total section commissioned 74.6 Km. Work in Jobat-Dekakund [12.00 Km] is in progress. Earthwork along with minor bridge completed except 350 M in forest land. 2 Major Bridges work is in progress. Tender for track linking and building invited, to be opened on 23.05.23. E/w and minor Br in 4.7 km completed. For balance work tender invited. financial bid opened post reverse auction, finalized. For 4 Major Bridges Contract awarded in Feb 23, mobilization is in progress. Tender for track linking and building invited, to be opened on 23.05.23.
