Chicago Bears New Stadium in Hammond

planned

A proposed new multi-billion dollar indoor stadium for the Chicago Bears located near Wolf Lake in Hammond, Indiana. The project includes a stadium and surrounding mixed-use development with restaurants, stores, hotels, and other complementary businesses. The stadium would be publicly financed with bonds issued by a new Northwest Indiana Stadium Board and funded through tax revenues from special stadium districts, ticket taxes, and other sources. The Bears would invest at least 50% of the stadium cost and commit to playing in the stadium for at least 35 years.
