Chicago Bears New Stadium in Hammond

planned

The Chicago Bears are considering building a new $2 billion domed stadium in the Wolf Lake area of Hammond, Indiana. The project includes a publicly financed stadium with the team leasing it and the opportunity to eventually own it. The stadium would be part of a mixed-use development including restaurants, stores, hotels, and other complementary businesses. The Indiana legislature has passed legislation to support the project, including public financing and infrastructure improvements such as road and parking enhancements. The Bears are conducting due diligence and working with state and local officials, with a decision expected in spring or summer 2026.
