Chicago Bears Stadium Project

planned

Legislation aimed at keeping the Chicago Bears in Illinois passed through the state House, including property tax provisions to support a new stadium project. The amended bill addresses concerns about property tax burdens and includes incentives for property tax relief. The bill will now head to the state Senate, with questions remaining about funding the potential stadium. The Bears support progress on the legislation but indicate additional amendments are needed to make the Arlington Heights site feasible.
