Description | The Chicago Department of Aviation is leading the ORDNext programme, an $8.8 billion capital improvement plan for Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The project includes the construction of new Concourses D and E, the largest concourse expansion in the airport's history, along with a new global terminal and underground infrastructure for pedestrian and baggage handling systems. The design is led by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) with Arup as the lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineer, among other roles. Concourse D is currently under construction. |
