Description | -Provide an accessible and free space for children and families in Niagara Region to play and learn -Provide free access to educational play based learning for children in order to help them develop a strong foundation for learning in the areas of physical, social/emotional, language, and cognitive development. -Provide children with relevant and educational content about local history and culture Design, fabrication and installation of the children’s gallery (indoor and outdoor) at the Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre Community Consultation Design Planning (concept, design, technical development) Preparation of all design drawings and packages (floor plans, elevations, renderings, perspectives, specifications, details, etc) Preparation of visuals (renderings, images) that can be used by the Museum in publicity documents Fabrication of infrastructure and installation management 1684 sq ft exhibit and programming space for children (custom designed and fabricated exhibit features that facilitate play based learning) Anticipated outputs: -increased attendance (5,000 annual visitors to 10,000). Anticipated that increased attendance will be entirely new audience -increase in the number of communities served (from the Town of Lincoln with a population of 23,787 to Niagara Region with a population of 447,888 and Hamilton with a population of 579,200) -expansion of community services offerings to area of region with current under-supply |
