Children’s Museum of Manhattan Expansion at 361 Central Park West

under construction

The project involves converting a landmarked church into a seven-story museum spanning 80,000 square feet. It includes new research-backed exhibits, immersive experiences, a dedicated performance space, a rooftop terrace, a café, and a museum store. The adaptive reuse project will restore the building’s white granite façade, preserve its massing and steeple, and introduce new floors within the existing structure. The expansion will double the museum's physical capacity and is expected to be completed in 2028.
