The project includes a new 350-ft-tall hydraulic asphalt core rockfill dam that will impound 90,000 acre ft of water, a 36-ft-tall clay core saddle dam, an inlet/outlet tunnel, spillway and approximately 7,000 ft of 72-in.-dia conveyance piping connecting the new reservoir into the existing Colorado-Big Thompson project. This will be the second asphalt core dam constructed in the U.S.
