Description | The China EXIM Bank will fund the construction of the South-East coastal highway project in Jamaica at a cost of approximately US$384 million. The project involves the construction of a new highway running from Harbour View in Kingston, through Morant Bay in St Thomas, and on to Port Antonio, Portland. The design includes a four-lane carriageway from Harbour View to Bull Bay, which will be reduced to three lanes and then two lanes as it continues to Port Antonio. An extension of the east-west toll road from May Pen in Clarendon to Williamsfield in Manchester is also planned. |
